Discover Internet Marketing Truth and Lies of Internet Marketing Before Becoming a Member of The Local Expert Website or Buying Any Services from Anyone
Truth and Lies
Here are some lies…
You need a website.
You need to advertise online.
You need to Search Engine Optimize your website.
You need to blog.
You need to be on Facebook.
If you buy ‘this’ or ‘that’ technology application you will explode your business!
It’s easy.
You’ve heard all of this before from internet marketing and website design vendors. These may be true but are just as likely to NOT be true for you.
Becoming “tech savvy” is very distracting. Vendors will sell you whatever they are selling with no regard for whether it will really help you. If you buy technology or implement internet marketing strategies in the wrong order they won’t help you at all.
Here are a few examples…
Example 1. Bob hires a website designer to build a website. It’s supposed to take 30 days but takes 3 months and it doesn’t have any content on it. Flop! Never build a website until you have the content ready to go.
Example 2. Susan has a lot of good content and manages to hire a website programmer to put up a site. Unfortunately it’s ugly – the programmer is a programmer after all, not an artist – so she looks like an amateur. Another Flop!
Example 3. Cheryl hired a Google Advertising company to run ads but got no leads or bad leads and after a few months fired the company – like most people who run Google Ads. Cheryls website designer made the site pretty but didn’t know a darn thing about lead capture and sales processes so the phone number was in tiny text, the writing was in grey text so no one could read it easily, and the contact forms were hidden away on a hard to find page.
Example 4. Steven is pretty tech savvy. He spends hours learning how to create Facebook Fan pages and internally SEO all his pages, but then neglects to improve his products and services and is wiped out by his competition.
Any of these sound familiar?
The Truth is that you need a Comprehensive Internet Marketing Plan that involves improving your business model.
Websites. SEO. Advertising. These are “Strategies.” Strategies change constantly.
What do not change are key business principles. I wrote about some of these in my book, “Discovering the 11 Principles That Guarantee Business Success.”
Principle 1. Have a Deep Personal Connection to Doing What You Do
Principle 2. Have a Clear Focus in Your Business and Personal Life
Principle 3. Be Where Your Customers Are – in Person or On-Line
Principle 4. Respond Quickly to Customers and Changes in Your Environment
Principle 5. Communicate How You Are Better
Principle 6. Cultivate Real-ationships
Principle 7. Provide Overwhelming Value
Principle 8. Make it Easy to Buy From You
Principle 9. Do What You Say You Will Do
Principle 10. Be Effective – Efficiently
Principle 11. Give Back
Every business decision – including what kind of website you design – should help your business reflect these principles.
Now, we/our Local Expert Marketing Systems can’t do all of these for you. Only YOU can BE deeply connected to your work and provide products or services that ARE BETTER than the competition.
But, we sure can help with the rest.
Let’s simplify this a bit.
Everything we’ve put into our 3 Local Expert Marketing System packages is designed to help you:
#1. Attract Visitors
#2. Generate Leads
#3. Create Clients
#4. Generate Referrals
If specific technology and strategies won’t really help you achieve these then we won’t use them. In fact, if we look at you and your business and determine that our systems will NOT be able to help you – we will not sell you anything and will tell you why.
Sometimes we even talk to business owners who are clearly taking advantage of people and we don’t help them either.
So on the other pages of this website you are going to see we include a more extensive and comprehensive list of website and internet marketing strategies than anyone online (or at least anyone we can find.)
Here are the key pieces…
#1. You need a really beautiful and professional looking website that uses big font sizes and images, as well as friendly colors. It can’t be a slick-stock photo’ish website, nor a sloppy blog.
#2. You need content that will present you as “THE Local Expert.” This will come in the form of both blog posts, comparison charts, and testimonials. When you really want to outshine your competition, we can help you become an Author, Radio Show Host, and even a web TV show host.
#3. Once you have that content and website developed, just about anything you do to drive traffic to your website will result in more clients. Of course, we’ve included DIY guides, training videos, and “Done for You” services for everything from SEO to Google Advertising to Video Marketing to Facebook Fan Page Lead Capture.
If you need specific things like IDX Home Search or Financial Calculators for your specific industry, of course we can provide those too.
A final thought. We are going to provide “a la carte services.”
We don’t recommend them unless you understand the 11 Principles mentioned above and purchase a la carte services as part of implementing a comprehensive step-by-step market domination plan.
But, they are available since we’d rather provide you with these – and be able to counsel you about what you might really need, as opposed to letting you swim with the sharks in the internet marketing vendor cesspool. (Visit www.SaltyDroid.com to see what this is.)

I am an expert in REO selling and needed a way to show it. My books, radio show, and real estate TV videos have asset managers banging on my door to give me their properties instead of me chasing them.- Mark Shandrow, CEO/Broker, ShandrowGroup.com
We appeared to be like most other drug treatment centers – institutional and boring until The Local Expert turned our stodgy brochure into a Magazine and our clunky website into a piece of art.- Elizabeth Perry, Founder, Sure Haven Sober.com
I was working for celebrities and corporations at $400/hour but no one knew it. I wasn’t truly viewed as one of the top experts in my fields until I invested in my own website and books. Now I don’t have to “sell” or try to convince anyone to hire me.- Sam Ingersoll, Founder, q2 Results
